Event Rental
The Bender Gallery offers a unique setting for small private receptions, birthday-anniversary parties and fund raising events. The artful setting located in historic downtown Asheville in our 1929 building is a 3700 square foot, two-level space featuring contemporary glass art. The gallery is smoke-free and free parking is available along the public streets near and around the building after 6 pm Monday - Saturday. City parking lots are conveniently located within one to two blocks.

Planning an Event
The Gallery reserves the right to review special event plans including décor and entertainment to ensure they are compatible with the gallery’s event criteria

Food and Beverage
Caterers need to be arranged by the renter however, we can recommend some local caterers and wine shops, if necessary.
You must be able to provide your own tables and chairs. A piano on our lower level is available.

Insurance & Liability
A certificate of liability insurance to include breakage for a minimum of $1,000,000 (one million dollars) will need to be provided by event sponsor.

Rental Fees
$100 per hour based on a minimum three-hour rental period plus $20 per hour for a mandatory gallery assistant. An additional assistant is available for another $20 per hour. We can also provide wait staff if neccessary for $15 an hour.
Rental fees include full use of gallery space and handicap accessible bathroom.
Rental fees do not include any food, beverages, tables, chairs, microphone and/or sound- lighting system.

Decorations
The Gallery reserves the right to pre-approve all signage and decoration,
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING can be affixed to any interior or exterior walls.
Client must remove all decorations, trash, garbage and equipment brought to the gallery.

Damages
The client is responsible for any and all damages that occur as a result of the event

Special Rental
Non Profits and/or charitable organizations putting on events depending on need will receive a 50% rental discount from the gallery as a donation for special event fundraisers. In special circumstances, the gallery will provide the space “free” after reviewing special requests a small fee may be collected for damage deposit, utilities, gallery staff etc during the event.

Payment Terms
50% non-refundable rental fee deposit and signed agreement with The bender Gallery.
Non-refundable balance is due 5 days prior to the event.
Any overtime will be billed separately and due immediately following the event.

Gift Certificates: We offer gift certificates in any denomination.  

Insured Shipment Worldwide: We ship worldwide insured using UPS, FEDEX and ground freight, with next day, second day and third day delivery available to most areas.

Custom Work or Special Orders: Many of our artists do custom work, including architectural installations and corporate commissions. We invite your inquiries as to capabilities and costs. We require a non-refundable, advance payment-in-full for Custom Work or Special Orders with no return privilege.

Corporate Gifts & Awards: Many of the artists we represent welcome the opportunity to create customized gift item or award. American studio glass art, accompanied by the artist's biographical sketch (which can be customized for your organization), makes for a memorable and valued gift or award.
